Opening Night!

International Black Women's Film Festival

October 25th
Reception 6pm/Films begin 7pm
Two films wrapped in glamour, intrigue and mystery!

DAUGHTER OF FORTUNE tells the story of a Black woman who is passing as white. Her rising fame as a movie star raises the stakes, especially when she’s forced to make a decision that may crumble her entire world around her. Which direction will she choose?

The evening is topped off with the lyrically haunting film ECHO AT 11 OAK DRIVE. A man with a secret life sets off a series of hauntings when his wife witnesses an unspeakable act. The house they once occupied becomes a tape recorder that replays the horrors of the past on waves of occupants. Will the house continue to claim tragedy against its residents, or will someone learn how to stop the tape?

ECHO AT 11 OAK DRIVE stars talented actor Rockmond Dunbar, who is currently starring on F/X’s “Sons of Anarchy” as the morally conflicted Sheriff Roosevelt.
