Mujeres Divinas Y Poderosas (Divine and Powerful Women) is a beautifully crafted variety show featuring community members affiliated with El/La Para Trans Latinas. In collaboration with two of the Bay Area’s most beloved artists, DavEnd and Xandra Ibarra, the evening promises a range of comedy, song, dance and sketch performance! And it’s FREE! Please support this collaboration between YBCA In Community and El/La Para Trans Latinas.

YBCA In Community is a new program that connects low-income, ethnically diverse, underserved community members, neighborhood organizations, and individual artists around collaborative art-making projects that address the unique needs and cultural traditions of three distinct Bay Area neighborhoods—SOMA, the Mission & Excelsior Districts, and West Oakland.

El/La is an organization for transgender Latinas (TransLatinas) that works to build collective vision and action to promote our survival and improve our quality of life in the San Francisco Bay Area. Because we exist in a world that fears and hates transgender people, women and immigrants, we fight for justice. We respond to those who see us as shameful, disposable or less than human. We are here to reflect the style and grace of our survival, and to make new paths for ourselves.
