Beyond the Bars: Growing Home by Ayodele Nzinga

Beyond the Bars is a reentry story that focuses on  those affected by incarceration and their communities. It is a compilation of first person stories as told to Ayodele "WordSlanger" Nzinga offered as a choreopoem in development of a fully staged play. 

Ayodele Nzinga is founder and Artistic Director of West Oakland's Lower Bottom Playez, Inc, noted for their presentation of August Wilson's The American Century Cycle Project  presenting Mr. Wilson's body of work in its entirety.
