Lil’ Morena, is a elusive young pop sensation. At least, that’s who she is at the moment. The young diva is full of secrets, but she has survived that way since 1715. Now, after 300 years, she’s sick. The only thing that can save her is locked in box somewhere in the home of her recently deceased lover, Josefa. Lil has to get herself together, for her fans, her staff and herself without the love of her life. Maravilla is a story about the fragility of a love that has taken centuries to find and what happens when it dies.
Javier Hurtado is a playwright, performer and producer who recently moved from the Bay Area to Riverside. He is currently pursuing an MFA in Playwriting at UC Riverside.
