Join Brava! for Women in the Arts and hosts Landa Lakes and U-Phoria Glitter for an evening of music, drag, and poetry in solidarity with the water protectors at Standing Rock. The benefit concert features performances by Denise Benavides, Landa Lakes, U-Phoria Glitter, Cherríe Moraga, Dr. Loco and Liliana Herrera, Loco Bloco, Bay Area American Indian Two-Spirits (BAAITS) Drum, and the evening's headliner, Soltrón! 100% of the proceeds will be sent to The Camp of Sacred Stones and Red Warrior Camp to provide immediate assistance with costs related to supplies, medical care, and legal defense.
The Camp of the Sacred Stones and Red Warrior Camp, currently defending against the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline, are calling on allies across the world to take action on the pipeline companies and financial institutions working to build the pipeline. We have taken up this call, with a goal to raise $5,000 in direct support for those at Standing Rock.
To meet this goal we'll also be raffling off tons of great prizes throughout the evening. Raffle tickets will be available before the performance and during intermission - one for $5 and three for $10 - with many chances to win!
With your help we are certain to not only meet our goal, but surpass it.
