Rising Voices presents a staged reading of We Wear the Masks
Directed by Margo Hall & Anna Maria Luera
Tuesday, June 7, 7pm
Engage with us as these formerly incarcerated young women take us on a journey through their personal writing of short plays and poetry about family, relationships and hope. This is our expression of our struggles, dreams, possibilities and purpose. We are more than what you see. We wear many masks. This is our ritual of uncovering ourselves to bring us back to our truest selves, the beauty in our struggles to reveal our journey to our highest selves and finding the strength to accomplish our dreams.
Written & read by members of Rising Voices theater ensemble, composed of women ages 18-25 who are at risk of incarceration, or in the process of reentry into everyday life.
