From Internet phenomenon to live binaural experience. Join Whisperlodge for a night of ASMR artistry and community.
Renowned ASMRtist WhispersRed shares her artistry live on stage for the first time in the United States. In this performance, ASMR sequences captured through a binaural microphone will be transmitted via wireless headsets to each audience member, offering a close up, intimate audio experience. ASMR Happens was performed for the first time in London in February 2016, and again in April 2017. This special night at Brava Theater in San Francisco is the third mounting. Each attendee has the option of participating in interactive live ASMR moments designed by Whisperlodge prior to the main performance. Some of these moments will be accessible to all 230 attendees, and some will be distributed by chance.
Doors open at 6:30pm. WhispersRed performs from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. After the show, attendees are invited to mingle for an hour with the performers and each other. ASMR is a pleasurable tingly sensation that is often described as calming and comforting. It occurs when hearing certain sounds, a soft voice or watching someone else carefully perform a task. ASMR has a huge following on Youtube and an active online community.
