Join Brava! for Women in the Arts on the afternoon of Father’s Day for a conversation between KPOO’s Chelis López and Guadalupe Rivera Marín, the daughter of Diego Rivera, as she speaks about growing up with her famous father. The talk will conclude with a Q&A with the audience.

PLEASE NOTE: The conversation between Guadalupe and Chelis will be conducted mostly in Spanish, with English translation provided by the conversational interpreter Paloma Gaos.

GUADALUPE RIVERA MARÍN is Ph. D, lawyer, economist and defender of women's rights, and the daughter of renowned muralist Diego Rivera.
Ms. Rivera is the author of several books, including Un Río dos Riveras, the testimony of the relationship between a father and his daughter. In this book, Rivera writes about her father's feelings and moods; the anger and eccentricities of a genius of art, but also the sensitivity of a man who knew how to live up to the political and social circumstances of his time.
Guadalupe Rivera Marin is the Founder and Board Chair of the Diego Rivera Foundation and has been an Honorary Trustee at The Mexican Museum since September 2014. Rivera also worked as a university professor in Mexico and abroad for most of her career.

GUADALUPE RIVERA MARÍN tiene un doctorado en leyes, es economista y defensora de los derechos de las mujeres e hija del reconocido muralista Diego Rivera.
Rivera es autora de varios libros, entre ellos Un Río dos Riveras, el testimonio de la relación entre un padre y su hija. En este libro, Rivera escribe sobre los sentimientos y estados de ánimo de su padre; la ira y las excentricidades de un genio del arte, pero también la sensibilidad de un hombre que supo vivir a la altura de las circunstancias políticas y sociales de su tiempo.
Guadalupe Rivera Marín es fundadora y presidenta de la Junta Directiva de la Fundación Diego Rivera y ha sido Fideicomisaria Honoraria en el Museo Mexicano desde septiembre de 2014.
