Brava presents
Winter/Spring Season 2021
As we patiently await the wide dissemination of the vaccine, and the subsequent return to live theater, we here at Brava are working with our Artists in Residence to assemble a winter/spring season of engaging, relevant online content.
Rotimi Agbabiaka has been in the studio fine-tuning his solo show Manifesto, readying it for streaming; artists for Brava’s 9th annual San Francisco Son Jarocho Festival are being engaged and the lineup finalized; and we’re working on securing studios for the premiere of Cristina Garcia’s newest play Palacios Sisters, which will be our first-ever radio play! We’re also excited to be working with Marga Gomez on the monthly Who’s Your Mami Comedy, which we’re revamping for 2021; and with Black Artists Contemporary Cultural Experience to continue bringing audiences the monthly salon series, Internationally Black. Plus, many other surprises along the way!
We look forward to a new year in which we can commune, create, and celebrate together!
