Banda Sin Nombre presents Otro Viaje: Noche de Drag at the Brava Cabaret, featuring one-time collaborations with fabulous performers including Persia, Shane Zal-Diva, Donna Personna, Mamá Dora, La Katia, and more. Banda Sin Nombre combines folk music from around the world with performance art, drag, and dance. With creative roots in San Francisco’s Mission District, the band features rich vocal harmonies with acoustic instruments including guitar, fiddle, charango, jarana, cajon, upright bass, and saxophone. The band’s musical influences range from Peruvian chicha to Catalan rumba and Appalachian old time to Cumbia.
After a decade playing together, Banda Sin Nombre has built a loyal following in the Bay Area through gigs at Stern Grove Festival, Freight & Salvage in Berkeley, the New Parish in Oakland, MACLA in San Jose, and dozens of venues in San Francisco including The Chapel, the Boom Boom Room, Amnesia, El Rio, Cafe Revolution, Elbo Room, Brava Theater, Mission Cultural Center, Red Poppy Art House, and a monthly residency at Club Deluxe. The band has also woven creative connections with interdisciplinary artists both locally and by touring internationally in Spain and Latin America.

Brava has undertaken appropriate modifications to comply with current health and safety protocols provided by the San Francisco Department of Public Health. These measures include requiring proof of full vaccination, a booster shot for all eligible in-person ticket holders, mandatory face covering that completely covers nose and mouth, secured with ear loops or head strap (gaiters and bandanas are not acceptable), increased cleaning before performances, and a no-touch or low-touch experience.
