Founded in San Francisco in 1996, Los Delicados are poet performers Norman Antonio Zelaya, Darren J. DeLeon and Paul S. Flores. The three return to their birthplace of the Mission District in San Francisco to honor the Floricanto legacy of Chicano-Latino Movement poetry that flourished in the neighborhood in the 1970’s, and highlight the explosion of Latino Spoken Word that occurred in the 1990’s throughout California and the Southwest.

Join Los Delicados as they celebrate 25 years of poetic lo-cura as innovators of Latino Spoken Word. Featuring special guests Alejandro Murguía, Cathy Arellano, Amalia Ortiz (San Antonio, TX), DJ Agana, Deuce ECLIPSE, Quique Padilla, Jaime Cortez Movimiento Molcajete (Sacramento), Yaya Porras and Nicole Limón, Milta Ortiz (Tucson, AZ), Adrian Arancibia (Taco Shop Poets San Diego), Pat Payne (Taco Shops Poets, Los Angeles). Panel Discussion

All ticket buyers are invited to attend the pre-performance panel discusion “1990’s Spoken Word” with Los Delicados founders Norman Antonio Zelaya, Darren J. DeLeon and Paul S. Flores.

*Tickets for this event must be purchased in advance, they will not be available at the door. Only vaccinated persons may attend as patrons at this time.

Brava has undertaken appropriate modifications to comply with current health and safety protocols provided by the San Francisco Department of Public Health. These measures include requiring proof of vaccination, mandatory face covering that completely covers nose and mouth, secured with ear loops or head strap (gaiters and bandanas are not acceptable), increased cleaning before performances, and a no-touch or low-touch experience.
