MAPA@Brava’s second annual production showcases the talent and hard work of the San Francisco Youth Theatre and SF Running Crew. The musical production of Miguel de Cervantes' timeless Don Quixote is a comedic and inspiring story of an iconic visionary who sees the world in a magical way. The book’s colorful characters of Don Quixote, Sancho Panza, Dulcinea, knights in shining armor, puppets, and dueling windmills have inspired audiences for centuries.
MAPA@Brava (Mission Academy of Performing Arts at Brava) is a consortium of youth arts organizations that rehearse and perform together at Brava Theater. Brava's long-standing technical theater training program, San Francisco Running Crew, teams up with SF Youth Theatre 415 Teen Ensemble and Cuicacalli Escuela de Danza, providing Mission District youth with a comprehensive, high-quality curriculum in the performing arts.
