We have so much GRATITUDE for all of the incredible artists (performers, teachers, technicians, designers, and creators) who have graced our stages and filled Brava Theater Center with energy and excitement! Every single artist delivered thoughtfully crafted performances and educational experiences inspiring joy, healing, and activism that continues to resonate far beyond Brava’s walls. We are also incredibly appreciative to the over 30,000 of you, both returning and new audiences, who shared these communal moments of joy, reflection, and a deep sense of connection that ONLY THE PERFORMING ARTS can bring.
On the flip side, we are experiencing a rise in the cost of doing business by over 35% since 2020 with the biggest increases in utilities, facility maintenance, and providing a skilled and welcoming staff. In 2022, we even decreased our electric usage throughout the facility by changing much of our lighting systems to LED lights - to no avail with the price increases.
Whether it is utilities, insurance, employment, or the cost of toilet paper, our ability to keep up with these increases is becoming extremely challenging. For this, we are in URGENT NEED of YOUR HELP. With more resources going to pay bills, Brava needs to raise $50,000 over the summer to continue providing the highest quality of inspirational performances, support for the Artists, free and low-cost Youth Programs, and subsidies for the Community to host events at Brava.
